楚州中學新校區即將投入使用

淮安市楚州中學始建于1957年，它是淮安區的一所公辦四星級普通高中，更是市、區兩級政府著力打造的優質公辦高中。
學校的前世今生
1957年9月，楚州中學前身——淮安縣淮城鎮民辦初級中學成立。
1969年1月18日，學校與創辦于1964年7月的淮安縣培紅初級中學合并，改名為“淮安縣化肥廠前進中學”。
1973年改為“淮安縣前進中學”。
1984年，駐城中學統一排序更名為“淮安縣第二中學”。
1988年2月，因淮安撤縣建市，改名為“淮安市第二中學”。
2001年，因“三淮一體”規劃，校名變更為“淮安市楚州第二中學”。
2002年，再次更名為“淮安市楚州中學”。
2005年，出資收購淮陰師范學院楚州校區作為學校南校區。
2017年2月，學校晉升江蘇省四星級普通高中。
2021年8月，楚州中學新校區即將投入使用。
